Pretty Much the Whole US is Covered in Snow

This is from www.intellicast.com. The snow cover across the southern tier is very unusual.  Look at Arizona, New Mexico, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana.   No snow in the extreme Pacific Northwest (i.e. for the Winter Olympics), but that is not unusual – especially in an El Nino year.
